Ruiz vs Joshua 2 will be the third time in 14 months that Saudi Arabia has hosted elite boxing. Amir Khan headlined an event in Jeddah in July and the World Boxing Super Series Final, whose bill was topped by Callum Smith beating George Groves, was the first foray into the Kingdom last October. Hearn was at Smith vs Groves in Jeddah and he admits a seed was planted that night. Joshua's best win is the husk of wladdy. Fury is better (and MUCH harder to land well on) than anyone Joshua has ever fought. Ruiz isn't even good, really. He's a goon. Povetkin's best days were behind him long before he fought Joshua. Mate anyone who has watched Ruiz like at all knows that he's not just some fat journeyman. I don't think he's going to win (he might) but he's easily good enough to give Joshua a rough time. He's on the same level as someone like Parker, which was evident when he fought Parker and arguably beat him.
